Not enough time

gosh... i wish i had more time to write in this blog... when i do have time to blog, it's spent updating mostly carlee's or our geocaching blog... on monday, i start my cake decorating class. i'm excited. this will be the first thing i've done for myself since carlee was born. carlee recently learned how to squeal, and she usually only did it once it a while... well today, she's been doing it nonstop. lol... i'll update more once i start my class. yay!

it's official

i boxed up carlee's newborn to 3 month size clothes last night... i had accidentally grabbed a 0-3 mo. onsie and started putting it on her, and realized what the problem was when it wouldn't even button. LOL... so I got them all out of her dresser. :( makes me kinda sad...

church's

carlee and i went to a caching event yesterday with our friend stress and his family. it was alot of fun... and to think i almost didn't go... tony ended up with duty on saturday and i didn't want to drive all the way to union county by myself with the baby. plus, friday night had been stressfull! carlee was soooo fussy, and she woke up every few hours! so by the time i woke up to take tony to work, i was really second guessing my decision to go, but in the end, i decided i better take advantage of having something to do, and a chance to hang out with friends and have fun... (geez was that a run-on! lol) anyway, so stress said the baby and i could ride with them, which was cool. the event was fun... caching stuff... i won't go into it here, lol... anyway, on the way back to stress' house, we past a Church's fried chicken. it's the first one i've seen since we moved here a year and a half ago. we had them back in texas... and i LOVE them! so i was really excited... i told tony today after we got home from me picking him up at work, "we have to go to church's today!" (even though it's like 15 minutes away! lol) so we drive over there for lunch... and guess what? they didn't have any chicken tenders thawed out! GEEZ! how do you not unfreeze food on a weekend!?! i don't understand! i was so dissapointed... oh well, maybe next weekend. lol....

that was pretty much what we did today... we've been just relaxing around the house... or is bumming a better word? lol... gotta go get carlee... she just woke up from her oh i'd say 7 minute nap. dernit. hope everyone had a good weekend! :D

4 Years?

Has it already been that long? geez. So much has happened since that day, life has gone on. I remember hearing about it in class, not long after it happened. Every room turned the tvs on to the news, and we watched, and we were all scared because we lived right next to Ft.Hood. Some of us were afraid maybe the base could be attacked, we were all deeply saddened, and yet it brought us all closer together. I will never forget the images I saw on tv, the heroism of normal people. I was grateful for my family being safe and there with me. My husband (fiance at the time) joined the navy the month after... Many people joined up after to try and make a difference.

I'm just rambling, I know... but I don't want to forget. Those people's lives meant something, and still do. We spent today together as a family, a day at the zoo. And I was grateful that we could. Grateful that we have such a wonderful country, and wonderful people protecting it. Proud to be an American. Lucky to be an American.

Where did our patriotism as a unified country go?

late night

carlee was fussy tonight. i think she slept too much today while we were out caching. she just now fell asleep, and it took alot of work... and she wouldn't eat any formula w/ cereal at all... ugh. which means she'll probably be up in 3-4 hours, hungry... i haven't posted in a few days. we're still doing good... got a hurricane off the coast. they say it's supposed to head off to the north east, but it might loop back around... i think they said they won't know for sure what it's going to do until tuesday. they took the ships out, but tony got to stay behind since he starts a school on monday... we got the loan for the truck today. :) so we should get it once the guys get back. i'll post pics when we do. we're excited! :) that's all for tonight... i'm exhausted...

So.... yeah.

Yesterday was a busy day. I got up early hoping that Tony would call me to pick him up, but of course why would work let the guys off early even though they've been out the whole week? geez, what was I thinking? lol... anyway, around 2 I had to go pick up Dori from the vet.

"She can't use litter for a week," they said, "because if it gets in her paws, they'll get infected." So, after I brought her home, I had to sweep out the laundry room (well closet really), so that I could put her in there. They gave me shredded paper to put in her cat box, but up till now, she still hasn't used it... ugh.

A while after that, my good friend Loopy came over and we talked and caught up. Tony called and said they weren't going to let him off of work for a while, so Loopy and I decided to go do a few caches. We got five! yay! If you are a cacher, you understand what kind of a fix that is... ha ha! Anyway, Tony finally called and said, "I'm on my way home. Hurry, so you can see the truck."

THE TRUCK. I haven't posted about it, because I didn't want to jinx it, but I think it's okay now. Tony's friend is selling his truck. A Ford F-150. 2003. Nice. Took really good care of it. I mean NICE. and for only what he owes on it, because he doesn't want the payments anymore. WHAT?!? yeah. So, Tony is super excited. As soon as we seal the deal, I'll post some pics. :)

Anyway, so Loopy and I head back to the apartment. The guys are already waiting. Tony shows me the truck. Yes, I tell him, it is nice. He was grinning from ear to ear. lol... We decided to all go out for dinner. That was fun. After not having adult contact for a few days it was awesome to hang out. So we were busy, but a fun busy, not stressful. I love days like that. :D
